Arrivals:
Arrive in San José, Costa Rica, where your driver will greet you at the airport. Take a leisurely drive to the nearby airport hotel for a 1-night stay.

Evening:
Spend a peaceful evening unwinding from your travels. Enjoy the serene grounds, take a stroll through the safe surrounding neighborhoods, or relax with a refreshing drink before gathering with your group for a casual welcome dinner at a woman-owned restaurant right on the hotel property.

Morning:
After a restful first night in San José, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before loading up for the journey to Turrialba. Your private driver will take you on a scenic route through the lush Cartago Province, with a special stop at Irazú Volcano, the tallest active volcano in Costa Rica. Stroll the crater viewpoints, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and take in the dramatic landscape before continuing on your way.

Midday:
A delicious lunch is included en route as you wind through the highlands toward the valley floor of Turrialba.

Afternoon:
Arrive at the stunning historic plantation-style home that has been converted into a luxury hotel. Settle into your beautifully appointed rooms and enjoy some downtime in the afternoon. Take a slow stroll through the estate’s manicured gardens, unwind by the pool, or simply sit on the terrace and soak in the surrounding volcano views. Your adventure has officially begun.

Morning:
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before setting off on a cultural and culinary adventure. At 9:30 AM, a private transfer will bring you to a nearby husband and wife owned cacao farm, where you will spend the day learning about one of Costa Rica’s most treasured crops.

Midday:
Discover the journey of chocolate from bean to bar. Participate in hands-on chocolate making, enjoy a locally prepared lunch, and connect more deeply with the history and traditions surrounding cacao.

Afternoon to Evening:
Return to the hotel around 2:00 PM. The afternoon into the evening is free for you to relax, or choose from an optional excursion to explore the area further.

Additional excursion options for the afternoon include: a guided horseback ride through the scenic countryside, a relaxing paddle boarding session on the nearby lake, a fun cocktail-making class, or a rejuvenating spa massage (additional cost per person).

Midday to Afternoon:
A short drive takes you to a nearby hot springs experience, where you’ll sink into naturally heated mineral pools surrounded by lush tropical greenery. This is the perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate your body and spirit before tomorrow’s journey to the coast.

Evening:
Come together as a group for an interactive cooking class with the executive chef of the hotel. Learn the secrets of traditional Costa Rican cuisine from a local chef, and share a meal you’ve prepared together.

Morning to Afternoon:
Today is the day to make the adventure your own. Choose from a guided zip line adventure through the rainforest canopy or a kayak and jungle hike along the coast, both led by expert local guides and available as optional add-ons.

Prefer a slower day? Spend it on the beach or exploring Puerto Viejo's vibrant streets with curated recommendations from your travel team.

Evening:
The evening is open for you to continue to explore and have dinner right in the center of town. Savor the unique Afro-Caribbean flavors Puerto Viejo is known for, like fresh seafood, jerk seasoning, and tropical cocktails.

Morning to Afternoon:
Today offers one of the most meaningful experiences of your journey: a cultural immersion experience with the Bribri indigenous community. The Bribri are one of the oldest indigenous groups in Costa Rica, with a deep connection to the land and a rich living tradition. Led by community members, this experience offers a rare and authentic window into their way of life, rituals, and relationship with nature. It is an experience that will stay with you long after you leave.

Evening:
Gather together one final time for a special send-off dinner hosted by a local chef. Raise a glass to new friendships, shared adventures, and the memories you’ve made together. This is a night to celebrate each other and all the magic that brought you here.

Departure Details:
Departures will be coordinated from Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José, Costa Rica (SJO), via an early morning private regional flight from the Caribbean coast. This is a quick and seamless way to get back to the capital for your international departures home.

Morning:
Rise early for a final breakfast at the hotel before heading to the regional airstrip for your private flight back to San José. Upon arrival in San Jose, take a quick and seamless walk to the international terminal for in time for your departure.
